TRUMPF at Formnext

The Fastest 3D Printer in the World Today: TruPrint 5000

The high-tech company TRUMPF presented the world’s fastest and most productive medium-format 3D printing system at the Formnext trade fair in Frankfurt. The TruPrint 5000 operates on the multi-laser principle with three beam sources and is equipped with optics specially designed by TRUMPF.

In combination with the exposure strategies developed by TRUMPF and optimally adjusted process parameters, the TruPrint 5000 only requires one third of the exposure time per construction job. The system is based on the Laser Metal Fusion (LMF) production technology and produces complex, metallic components per laser layer for layer in the powder bed.
